I'm a part-time photographer based just outside London, England who specialises in photographing cars, interiors and people.
I grew up in Croydon, Surrey: a reasonably large town that's currently undergoing a huge redevelopment. I had an interest in art and design as a child, always finding myself to be very creative and excelling in arts subjects, though I never opted to pursue visual art academically. It wasn't until I turned 20 that I started to fall in love with photography. More than just a way to get rides in and spend time with the most exotic cars in the world, sitting down and working out how you're going to post-process an image and actually doing it is a great way to spend time.
After a couple of solid years of automotive photography, whilst on an 8-day Lamborghini convoy run from Sant Agata to Brooklands, I was approached by a client who wanted to offer me some work photographing high-end properties. What occurred by simply showing some photos of guest's cars around the dinner table turned out to be the perfect blend of technical challenge and creativity for me. A world away from the mad rush of automotive photography but with new challenges of its own, I decided interior photography was definitely another string to add to my bow.
Over the last year I've been able to further my abilities as a photographer by working with my girlfriend on her fashion and lifestyle blog. Since picking up a camera, I've loved just documenting days out and holidays. Holiday albums often looking like my girlfriend was the only one there, we decided my skills in following as a photographer could be put to good use. I've learnt a lot about colour grading and how it can have an astounding effect on a group of images to not only bring them together as a whole, but enhance the feel in a very branded and personalised way.
